Having had the opportunity to travel to Italy and having first-hand experience in the culture, the eating scene, and mostly importantly- the produce, was truly an eye-opening experience for me as a foodie. Pure ingredients, simple cooking and minimal human intervention. To me- that really captured what Italian food encompassed as a whole.

Who is
Hi! We're Javen & Sabrina!
Javen here! I used to be a food product developer for a Singaporean startup and am a food content creator (@javenbakes). I now wear my other thinking hat for driving ! My passion for food started young; I baked my first apple pie from scratch at age 9 and begged my parents to send me to culinary school at 16 (they said no 🥲). I'm a foodie at heart, always exploring new cuisines and testing recipes in the kitchen.
I hold a BSc in Food Science from the University of Leeds & an MSc in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London (UCL). After 25 years of eating and 4 years of studying food, I'm excited to now share my passion for Italy with you!
Sabrina here! I still work as a Business Strategist as my main job (someone's gotta make money in the relationship...), and am in charge of the creative direction for the company!
I genuinely love to meet & talk to people- and ultimately learn! Even though I've never been exposed to the food industry, but building everyday has got me more hooked- and I can't wait to see where we take it next!
